Got some simple, common sense rules for using this forum...
(1) Respect your fellow posters. Everyone has been a novice once, so don't berate anyone for "not getting it". Feel free to report bad sports.
(2) This forum is obviously sponsored by CartoonSmart.com , so any postings hurtful to our company will also result in a permanent ban. This includes uploading or providing links to source files from our tutorials ( Remember part of the purchase of CartoonSmart tutorials includes access to those source files ). So please, do not give away the source files to a lesson.
IT IS OKAY to post code from a lesson if it pertains to a question you are asking.
(3) Promoting ANY kind of illegal file sharing is also prohibited. Movies, software, music, whatever. Respect the content creator's right to sell something. Trust me, one day you'll all be an author / creator of something marketable too. And you can decide to make it free or sell it for a small profit (if you like paying bills and mortgages, I suggest this option) . Either way is valid and should be respected.
Specifically (since this has already occurred) please, NO linking to sites that advertise these too-good-to-be-true deals on software. These are never legit sites, and you'll either get scammed or you'll be hurting companies like Adobe that make all the fun possible that we're having here.
(4) Do not post anything pornographic in the gallery section of the site. Although I do understand many of you fantasy artists or college kids that take Life Drawing classes might have some nudity in a pic, so as long as its artistic and not sexually graphic, this is the exception to the rule.
(5) No spam. If you spot it, report it. And let me define this a bit better: A spam-member is someone that just conveniently drops in and advertises their product and is not be a member of the community beyond that. For members with many helpful posts to occasionally mention a product they've used or liked, or even sell, thats fine.
